CCTV
CCTV is an acronym for Closed Circuit Television.
CCTV can be used to monitor virtually anything, including town centres, transport systems, commercial, industrial and domestic premises ,visitors to buildings and access control points, one of the major uses these days are for Health & Safety requirements, however the list of uses is endless.
In some applications the system should be very visual in order for it to act as a deterrent, or a more covert system whereby the cameras are discreetly located so as to not be on view.
Whichever type of system is to be used all images should be recorded to system where the images can be burnt to a disc for use later, this would normally be a DVR (Digital Video Recorder).
These days the is such a huge range of equipment available with features that change on an almost daily basis, systems range from a simple analogue or digital system to IP camera’s connected to the main server.
All of the DVR's we use have the ability that we can assist in setting them up so that on an activation of your intruder alarm system, we can get the ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) to contact you and as long as you have the use of a computer or other device connecting to Broadband you will be able to view realtime and recorded images of your premises.
One of the other many advantages of using Servian Fire & Security to design and install your CCTV system is that we are able to remotely monitor your CCTV system through our ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) this can then be used to who can despatch the police or keyholders direct to site.
A CCTV system has strict guidlines that should be followed as a responsible user of the system please click the link to download a PDF version of the Data Protection document for CCTV systems.
